Prime Appointments Raise £1470 for Children in Need!

Today, Prime Appointments raised £1470 for Children in Need, nearly 3 times more than their planned target!

The Prime team, along with generous donations from clients, candidates, friends and family were delighted to raise £735, utilising social media to promote their efforts for Children in Need and make donations easy with a JustGiving link.

The donations kept coming in throughout the afternoon, MD Robyn Holmes generously matched the combined donations taking the total to an impressive £1470!

Pedalling for pounds, the team completed a gruelling virtual office cycle ride with staff members taking turns cycling for 15 minutes each. A target of 113 miles, the approximate circumference of the company’s client base around Essex was exceeded due to interdivisional competition increasing the distance to 144 miles throughout the day!

Winner of the fastest cyclist award was Industrial Resourcer Bradley Turner. “I used to cycle quite a bit when I was younger, but I was still absolutely shattered!” But the real dark horse was Sales Director Colin Trenfield, who has been with Prime for 15 years. “It was a piece of cake.” says Colin. “I even beat some of the youngsters!”
Holly Warren, who has been with Prime for 3 years was responsible for getting the whole team involved. “As it was our 25th year in business, we wanted to really go for it. I’m sure the money we raised will make a real difference”

A gigantic Pudsey cake, made by local business and long-standing client, Tiptree Patisserie was put up for auction through a JustGiving link. Donations came flooding in from all corners of Essex with Paul Shadbolt of Braintree-based manufacturer Shadbolt International claiming the cake to share with his team. To keep the sugar levels up, the Prime team held a bake-off with a further donation of £10 per bake from MD Robyn Holmes.

Overall, it was one of the company’s most successful fundraising days so far. Robyn says: “I can’t think of any better way to celebrate our 25th anniversary than by helping to support the efforts of this brilliant charity.” With such a competitive team I am sure that we will raise even more next year!
