We’ve got a jam-packed day ahead raising as much money as we can for Children in Need! To celebrate our 25th year in business, we’re aiming to smash our previous record of £370 and raise a whopping £500. Our MD Robyn Holmes is going to double whatever we raise as a company, so hopefully we will be able to donate as much as £1000 altogether!
To reach our target, we’re pulling out all the stops. We’re holding a marathon company cycle on our in-house exercise bike and taking bids for a delicious Pudsey cake, handmade by one of our oldest clients, Tiptree Patisserie. We’re also hosting an informal company bake-off, and of course, the obligatory dress down day. Donate to our Justgiving page to get involved!
Pedalling for Pounds!
Our team’s fitness is getting put to the test! Over the course of the day, recruiters, finance, marketing and admin staff alike will all take turns on the company bicycle, taking roughly 15 minutes each. The aim is to cycle 113 miles, which is an estimate of the circumference of our client base around Essex.
The team’s virtual route will start at the company’s base in Witham, go through Chelmsford, Dunmow, Braintree and Halstead, then through Earls Colne, Sudbury, Hadleigh, Manningtree and Colchester, before winding back through Tiptree, Maldon and Hatfield Peveral, to Witham again. The route takes in a wide range of businesses, from factories to legal practices, to hospitals and residential care homes where Prime Appointments places both temporary and permanent staff.
Thankfully, Prime’s recruiters are fully equipped with headsets, so they will still be able to take calls whilst on the bike, even if they will be a little out of breath!
Cake with a cause!
We’re currently taking bids for our larger-than-life, scrumptious Pudsey cake. The largest donator will have the cake delivered directly to their office for 2pm. Grab a slice of the action by donating to our Justgiving page! We’ll be taking donations up until 1pm today, so there’s still time!
To avoid the risk of any hungry post-cycle recruiters sneaking a slice of the Pudsey cake themselves, we’ve decided to host an informal company bake-off. For every cake baked, Robyn will donate a further £10.
Keep an eye on our progress and have a look at our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, where we’ll be posting photos and videos throughout the day! All in all, it promises to be a fun-packed day. The most important part of it, though, will be raising as much money as possible for the lives of those children who this brilliant charity helps to improve. So please get giving!
NEWSFLASH! We have nearly raised £500 – and it’s not even midday! Robyn will double whatever we raise, so keep the donations coming!
