Location – Ipswich
Salary £37,000 – £43,000
A new role has become available working for a company developing world beating products and systems used within service station installations. They supply many of the major oil companies and fuel retailers and have production facilities and offices world-wide. The incumbent will contribute to the design and development of new items within the Engineering team.
Producing detailed drawings and reports for internal and external use.
2D & 3D drawing to be carried out using Creo (Pro/E) and Autodesk Inventor.
Updating drawings and MRP records for existing products.
Generating Engineering Change notes.
Assisting the global design team with hands on design and development.
Building strong relationships with colleagues throughout the company to help develop and research the right solution and investigate new ideas.
Work with product managers and project teams to ensure a flow of new products.
This position would suit a qualified Engineer, Design Engineer or Draughtsperson.
Experience of electro mechanical engineering would be a benefit but is not essential.
Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of 2D & 3D Cad
An understanding of ANSYS FEA software would be beneficial.
Previous experience of designing plastics, metal and electro-mechanical items.
An understanding of Extrusion, Casting, Injection Moulding and Rotamold production processes
Experience of working within an ISO attributed organisation would be beneficial
Must be capable of presenting reports and design drawings to colleagues
Able to effectively communicate to customers and colleagues.
Focus on delivery with a strong desire to deliver new products quickly and to budget
Ideas driven and ability to think laterally
An appreciation of the commercial applications of ideas
Salary in the region of £37- £43K
