Product Developer
Key Accountabilities:
Conduct in-season shop comparisons to better understand market
Plan and maintain the Critical Path to ensure timely delivery of range
Liaise with Production department to confirm sources
Work with design team throughout development process to realise initial concept
Action new specs with the aid of Design and QC
Use negotiation skills to get the best price across all areas of the range
Monitor supplier performance via the Proto Development Schedule
Liaise with factories at all stages of development process to maintain best price
Arrange and attend fit sessions with Design and QC
Ensure all costing documents and status charts are kept up to date throughout season
Set up Gross Margin document
Check labelling charts are correct for each product within the range
Chase in and approve all samples, lab dips and trims
Provide accurate style information for the Design Technologist during development process
Order fabrics for proto's and photo and salesman samples
Create line lists and swatch cards for use by sales agents during selling season
Input all style, factory and price information onto the BOMS to initiate salesman samples
Present finished range to sales team at key stages of the development process
Chase in Photo sample range ready for end of season photo shoot
Liaise closely with design team to create seasonal line lists ready for start of selling period
Merge Gross Margin data into PAF's for final sign off by Head of Product Development
Liaise with Brand Communications and Marketing to enable brochure development
Input all data into the Styleman stock system prior to Production handover
Check and reprocess the salesman ranges before they are sent out to agents
Create price lists for sales team

Skills / Experience:
Microsoft Excel to a high standard
Word, Outlook, Corel Draw / Illustrator and Photoshop
Organised, methodical and accurate with a good eye for detail
Strong negotiation skills
