To deliver a building maintenance, construction and repair service to all areas of the business that is prompt, effective, safe and at least cost.



To project manage development and refurbishment projects incorporating building, plumbing and civil works. To deliver projects on time and at least cost.



Key tasks within the job



·Responsible for the building and construction function within the business

·To ensure you and your team achieve a high volume and high standard of work in each shift

·To work hands on with the team.

·To ensure all buildings, surrounds and services are maintained in a serviceable state to minimize down time for production units

·To manage the building materials ordering and implement a stock system

·To generate ideas for improving working methods

·To regularly visit the sites to preview jobs and plan ahead

·Foster a 'can do' positive attitude within all builders

·To standardise building operating methods across all sites

·Ensure all employed engineering and building staff and contractors follow the company's hygiene and bio-security regulations

·Allocate staff according to their skills





Project Management



·Deliver installation, refurbishment and construction/building projects from inception to completion managing budgets, contractors, internal staff and end users

·To understand the nature of each project and to select the best way to tackle it



General



·Identify and deliver any on-the-job training required for building staff. Liaise with Personnel as to training needs that require 'outside' provision

·To be customer focussed, thereby thinking how your work affects what our customers receive

·Liaise regularly with line managers to keep them informed and ensure consistent flow of information

·Run regular meetings with Site Engineering and Production Managers

·To carry out any other tasks relating to facilities and buildings management as the company may reasonably require.





Hours 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday + Saturday or Sunday am



Salary £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience



Pension 3% company, 1% employee



Holiday 20 days plus Bank Holidays
