Qualifications Ideally Degree Qualified - HNC considered

Experience

Essential Sound mechanical design experience with a good understanding of fabrication manufacturing process and DFM.  Must have experience of hydraulic design.

2D and 3D CAD experience (ideally Autodesk Autocad & Inventor)

Experience

Desirable Experience with designing and developing mechanical products.

Planning and executing suitable testing to prove prototypes

Co-design with suppliers and liaison with materials suppliers and outsourced component manufacturers.

The Role This is a key role in the organisation and central to the continued development of products in our client

Responsibilities The Jobholder will be responsible for the design and development of new and existing products. You will be the point of technical reference for new and existing projects

Key tasks will include

Management of CAD system and BOM

Development of existing products from the ISO feedback systems

Maintaining compliance with all appropriate legislation

Liaison with suppliers

New Product Design

Prototype development & off-site testing

Basic Hours 8.00am-5.30pm
