ASSISTANT TECHNICAL MANAGER

This is a predominantly production based role reporting to the Technical Manager. You will be a source of technical expertise and oversee the technical and quality systems across the site, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation as well as customer and food safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Maintain and develop site standards- working towards BRC accreditation.

- Ensure that the quality of all products is maintained to the required standard .

-Assist with site audits carried out by STS, BSA, EHO, Trading Standards and customers.

-Maintain HACCP system.

-Assist with supplier audits.

-Develop new and modify existing products and processes.

-Prepare product costings, based on raw materials and production costs, working to provide profitable products.

-Devise and update Company policies and procedures.

PERSON PROFILE

-Qualified in a food related discipline (degree level would be beneficial)

-Excellent level of computer literacy to include MS Office.

-Experience within food manufacturing would be beneficial..

-Excellent communication and leadership skills.

-Positive attitude with ambition and drive.

-Must have a thorough and methodical approach to your work

-A high degree of flexibility will be required in respect of hours worked and duties that you are responsible for.


This position may suit a recent graduate. There is training available for the right candidate.


HOURS

6.30 to 3p.m. approximately - Monday to Friday
Every other Sunday with 1 day off in the week when Sunday is worked.
