The accommodation off-set amount will increase to £4.61 per day.

From the 1st October 2011, the National Minimum Wage has increased to the following:-

• For workers aged 21 and over – the rate will increase to £6.08 from £5.93

• For workers aged 18-20 – the rate will increase to £4.98 from £4.92

• For workers aged 16 and 17 – the rate will increase to £3.68 from £3.64

There has also been a National Minimum Wage introduced for apprentices – this is £2.60 per hour. This is only applicable to apprentices under the age of 19, or any apprentice aged 19 or over in their first year of apprenticeship.
