Meet our awesome team!
Robyn established Prime Appointments in 1992 and with over 35 years of recruitment experience, she is the driving force behind a highly effective, professional and friendly team. She is incredibly proud of the service that her company provides for clients, candidates and the high volume of people the team have supported over the years.
A number of our clients have worked with us for nearly 30 years, which is testament to the consistently excellent service Prime delivers. We credit this to Robyn's hugely positive energy and infectious passion for recruitment.
She has a genuine interest in how other businesses work and loves connecting people with people. Robyn invests hugely in her team and recognises that training and development together with a happy work environment are the reason that we continue to grow.
Her open, honest and positive personality mean that she is a real inspiration to everyone she meets, often instilling self-belief and energy to help others achieve their goals. Away from the office Robyn applies her energy to maintaining an impressive regime at the gym. She has recently taken up golf and in true Robyn style is already a force to be reckoned with on the golf course – practice makes perfect!
Peter has been a Director at Prime Appointments for over 15 years. His main focus is on the development of the company’s digital marketing strategy through SEO. In 2016 he meticulously oversaw the design, implementation and build of our fabulous new head office Austin House, project managing every aspect of the build over 4 months.
Peter is a keen sportsman with a competitive streak, in true Prime fashion! He particularly enjoys golf and Real Tennis. In 2017 he played Real Tennis in Australia for the successful Great Britain Over 50s team against France, Australia and the USA. In 2018, he represented Great Britain again in the same match, this time in New York. He is also the current Over 50s British doubles champion. Valuing teamwork above all else, he is a true Prime champion!
Jack O’Brien first joined the business in 2011 as a trainee recruiter on our fast-paced Industrial desk. There, he worked under Sales Director Colin’s careful supervision. Over the next 4 years of his training, he established excellent relationships with key Industrial clients before transferring to the Technical & Engineering division. As a Technical & Engineering consultant and then Manager, he has grown and developed the team to become what is now our biggest division, supplying temporary workers, contractors and permanent solutions across an extensive range of engineering sectors to international industry leaders, start-ups and SMEs alike across the region and beyond. With his consultative approach with both clients and candidates, he has proven his commitment to and passion for Prime. As such, in 2017, we were delighted to welcome him to join our Senior Management Team. Following the increased growth to the business which his management spearheaded, our board of Directors took the unanimous decision in 2019 to appoint him as a Director as of 1st January 2020.
Colin joined Prime Appointments in 2002 and has over 30 years of experience working in the Industrial recruitment sector, he is a hugely experienced and committed member of the Senior Team. Day to day he is responsible for the smooth running of the Industrial Division, ensuring the very best level of service. In 2010 Colin became a Director at Prime Appointments and works with the Senior Team to ensure we respond to and meet our client and candidate expectations.
Colin is passionate about getting things right! His ability to think laterally often means that he can quickly identify simple solutions which others often overlook! He can also be relied on to provide witty (often cheesy!) one liners to illustrate a point and loves sharing his ideas with our marketing team to help get their creative juices flowing!
Chris has worked with Prime Appointments since 2010 and quickly progressed within the Industrial Division to Senior Consultant. Chris has a wealth of knowledge and experience in temporary recruitment, he has transferred his know-how and great customer service to our Technical & Engineering Division where he recruits skilled candidates for permanent roles.
Chris is a key member of our team, well-respected and trusted by his colleagues and clients. In his personal time Chris teaches karate and martial combat and can often be found at the gym keeping in shape. He is passionate about kayaking, also visiting and roaming the Suffolk countryside with his wonderful rescue dog Lola.
Michael is a Consultant within our Industrial Division. Prior to joining Prime Appointments he worked for a Health & Social Care provider for five years. Michael always tries to see things through the eyes of a candidate walking through our door to register or a client who desperately needs a new member of staff - he has already increased our rapidly growing team of friendly Industrial temporary workers by providing a speedy and professional service.
In his spare time he enjoys watching football and is passionate about cheering on his beloved West Ham!
Since Lorraine first injected Prime with her signature cocktail of forward-thinking and extreme efficiency back in 2015, the wheels of operation have run smoother and faster than ever. With her extensive know-how in systems, training and development, she is the ideal person to guide Prime’s journey towards our 30th year. Developing our team and streamlining the business as part of the Senior Team, Lorraine has helped put the customer experience at the forefront of Prime’s priorities, as per Robyn and Margaret’s original mission. Away from the office, Lorraine is passionate about dressage, a sport which requires all the adventurousness, discipline and flair for which she is so well-known! She also enjoys spending time with her family, holidaying to far-flung corners of the world and eating great food, especially her favourites; chocolate and cake!
With 13 years of recruitment experience Gill is a key member of the Prime Appointments Team. Her tenacity and resilience make her a perfect fit to meet the high demands of the Care sector where a quick response, accuracy and reliability is standard practice. As part of our personal development program Gill has gained an NVQ Level 3 in Recruitment, always thinking outside the box Gill is a great solution finder and has developed very successful partnership relationships with our clients to help their businesses grow.
In her spare time she loves hanging out with her family and friends, an avid Chelsea supporter she occasionally watches the Blues at Stamford Bridge but is yet to see them win!
Luke joined Prime Appointments in 2014, and has since worked on the temporary desks for our Industrial and Technical & Engineering Divisions. He has recently moved to head up our Commercial Temporary Division where his engaging, warm and friendly personality has helped him to build a bank of talented and loyal candidates to fill short term vacancies for our clients.
A Witham local lad himself, he loves nothing more than spending time with his family and friends, his other pastime is photography and videography and he really enjoys planning content for social media and marketing campaigns with our fabulous marketing team.
Kirsty started her career in recruitment in January 2017 and has been loving it ever since! She joined Prime Appointment’s Health and Social Care desk before transferring to our Commercial Division as a Permanent Consultant. She is still Prime Appointment’s go-to person for Management Health & Social Care placements, but her main focus is on filling Commercial and office vacancies.
Kirsty loves the buzz of helping people find work, actively helping them accelerate their career by finding them challenging exciting new roles. In her spare time Kirsty loves to travel and has ticked off various locations on her bucket list already. She loves working for Prime because we are like a big family and have a great reputation for providing quality staff.
Chris has been responsible for the Company’s accounts since 1996, becoming a Director in 2008. In addition to her accountancy role, Chris also supports the day to day running of the busy recruitment company with data and analysis to support strategic and financial planning for the future to ensure sustainable growth. Chris works closely with Robyn and the Prime Appointments Senior Team to ensure that the accounts and payroll function supports the operational business.
Outside of work Chris loves nothing more than sharing great food, wine and company with her family and friends. A keen and talented skier she is a demon on the slopes and ski’s twice a year! Chris and her husband are keen cooks and can often be found in their garden in all-weather producing amazing meals from their full size pizza oven – delicious!
Julia has 15 years of consultancy experience working mainly in Commercial and Technology sectors, specialising in the recruitment of Technical and Engineering staff. Her natural interest in how things work means she quickly understand technical ideas and concepts.
Julia prides herself on getting to know her clients and their business, developing great partnerships. Julia always ensures she gives her full support to both client and candidate throughout the whole recruitment process, really listening and identifying at the outset the needs of both parties.
Her many hobbies include singing in a jazz band and a love of rugby. After a number of years leading the Witham Amazons to victory as Captain, she hung up her boots and took on the challenge of becoming Chairman for the whole club. Nowadays, she can be found cheering the team on from the touchline most weekends!
Working as part of our Temporary Technical & Engineering team, Simon is responsible for placing highly skilled candidates into permanent vacancies across Essex and beyond. Simon has developed strong client partnership relationships based on providing reliable advice on the job market within Technical and Engineering roles.
Simon is passionate about F1, football and politics – his keen interest and views on current affairs often make for interesting conversation in the lunch room! One of our more modest team members, he professes to be a talented singer and plays the guitar….. although we are yet to hear him sing!
Carl works on the Technical & Engineering desk primarily on temporary positions. Carl joined us in 2015 after graduating from Portsmouth University. He has developed an impressive technical knowledgeable across a high number of skilled roles within the sector, professional, friendly and highly efficient Carl can be relied on to fill roles quickly with quality staff.
Outside of work Carl is a keen amateur marathon runner, he is passionate about all sport (even darts and snooker!). Missing out on a gap year Prime granted Carl a 9 month sabbatical to travel the globe last year, it’s great to have him back! An avid supporter of Real Ale he can often be found at beer festivals checking out interesting artisan beers.
With his extensive internal recruitment experience within retail and his attention to detail, Mark Everitt is the perfect fit for our thriving Technical & Engineering division. In his previous roles, he managed teams of up to 70, before transferring to recruitment full-time. As a result, he prides himself on having developed excellent communication and problem-solving skills. He is customer-focused and not afraid to experiment with multiple solutions and ways of approaching a task in order to achieve the best result possible for his clients. A persistent worker, he brings a results-driven determination to the team.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, who much appreciate his top-notch BBQ chef skills! If he was to have one superpower it would be the ability to fly, so that he could have a birds-eye view of the world and get from A to B more quickly. This efficiency-driven mindset of has enabled him to fit in perfectly with our fast-paced Technical & Engineering desk!
If you’re looking for a consultant who knows the sector, the area and the candidates like the back of his hand then Kieren’s your man. With 5 years’ solid recruitment experience working in the supply chain, engineering and industrial sectors, his track record speaks for itself. Born and bred in Bury St Edmunds, he is at home in the Suffolk and Norfolk business market. Always up to date with all things Bury and beyond, he prides himself on his local knowledge of the little things that keep business ticking. From the travel times to the local news, he is a local expert! Tenacious and determined, he will let nothing stand in between him and his goals, whether that’s sourcing the perfect candidate for his client or Deadlifting over 180Kg.
A former rugby man, he loves nothing more than cheering his team on to victory. We are more than happy to have him on the team and look forward to seeing him help ensure our clients have staff with the skills, personality and experience to support their success.
Resourcing champion, compliance queen and talented fundraiser, Holly provides a unique and essential service to our business. An integral member of the Technical & Engineering temporary department, she can usually be found resourcing reliable candidates for our valued clients. In addition, she also coordinates the extensive compliance administration processes involved in managing our fast-paced temporary desk. When she’s not wearing her recruiter hat, she is a key member of our Charity Committee, coming up with and carrying out innovative methods for us to give back to the community.
Outside of work, Holly channels her attention to detail and creativity into her passion for all things fashion and interior design. Making talent acquisition and compliance coordination a fine art, we are very lucky to have her on board!
Simon’s Recruitment career started in 2004. He has successfully launched a new IT & Digital division since joining us in January 2017. He loves finding great people for great roles and particularly helping accelerate someone’s career. Simon prides himself on making strong matches for the long-term taking candidate career moves and his client’s next hire very seriously – Honesty and integrity are very important to him and you can rely on candid honest advice and feedback.
When not in the office, Simon can be found relaxing with his family, socialising with friends (usually in the pub drinking Real Ale of course!) or watching the England Rugby team!
Terry joined Prime Appointments in 2015 with over 25 years’ experience across various finance roles; along with his team he is responsible for the day to day running of our Accounts Department, primarily overseeing the payroll function to ensure we pay our army of temp workers accurately and on time. Terry works closely with our Finance Director Chris to provide comprehensive financial data for the Senior Team.
His accounting background includes manufacturing, commercial, and most recently the legal sector so a great pedigree with varied sector experience. Terry is very outdoorsy and can often be found fishing or braving the elements at a point to point course somewhere in East Anglia – he loves horses and the countryside and is an accomplished horseman.
Sue joined Prime Appointments in 1999 and is a key member of our accounts team. She looks after our very busy payroll department and is the first port of call for temporary staff who need help with their time sheets or have payroll queries, with over 500 salaries to pay most weeks she is kept very busy. Sue also assists her accounts colleagues with general accounts activity although her specialism is payroll due to her extensive knowledge and experience.
A local Witham girl through and through she is on first names terms with lots of our longstanding temps, often bumping into them in the supermarket!
Justine is the newest member of our accountancy team, working in our ‘engine room’ as an Accounts Assistant. She has a wealth of experience in recruitment, having previously worked in the accounts department of another agency for over 8 years. Justine works alongside her colleagues inputting new starters, checking timesheets and most importantly making sure our temps are paid correctly and on time!
Outside of work Justine spends time with her family, her little boy keeping her busy with his demanding social calendar.
Louise’s history with Prime goes far back, as she was first placed by Robyn to work with Peter back in 1997! After leaving to return to her career in golf club management, Louise took over her family business back in 2005, the recent sale of which has led to her welcome return to Prime. All of her positions up until now have involved an element of accounts, an area in which she looks forward to furthering her expertise through formal qualification.
Outside of work, Louise enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two baby grandsons who are her pride and joy. She is also a keen runner and runs several times a week, regularly training for 10ks and half-marathons. She even completed the London Marathon back in 2010! With her cheerful disposition, managerial experience and can-do attitude, she fits seamlessly into the Prime family, who are over the moon to have her back.
Rebecca joined the Prime Appointments marketing team in 2017, her role is pivotal to delivering ambitious Marketing and Design objectives for the business to support our growth. Rebecca has a First Class Degree in Graphic Design and has worked for several big brands including Tottenham Hotspur. Her innovative and quirky design is definitely getting us noticed, the team love their marketing collateral which helps them build our client base and attract candidates.
Rebecca has a sunny and positive outlook bringing huge energy and enthusiasm to our business, her ambitious plan to innovate and enhance our brand through online technology is very exciting! At home Rebecca is massively into home design always thinking about her next project and perusing glossy brochures adding iconic furniture to her wish list!
Stormé is passionate about all things design, from digital design to illustrations, to makeup and photography. She is also a social media savant who is keen to help Prime become the most influential agency on social media in the local area! With her bubbly and outgoing personality she is the perfect fit for Prime’s positive and forward-thinking marketing department. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and partner and travelling. Just some of the countries she has visited include Jamaica, Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, Poland, and Morocco and she is eager to expand her list! If she could have any superpower, it would be to teleport, so that she could travel through time and travel more on the weekends.
Jasmine joined the Prime Appointments team at the start of 2017, after 18 months working in marketing. With a BA in English and an MA in Playwriting, she is our go-to girl for content writing whether that means blogging, writing press releases or making sure candidate CVs are client ready!
Jasmine is an avid reader and enjoys swing dancing in her spare time, her hidden talent is she has a knack for sketching people and catching their likenesses. She loves working for Prime because we genuinely care about employees and candidates, it’s a company with a heart but that doesn’t mean we’re not fiercely competitive!
Donna joined Prime Appointments in 1994 and as well as being one of our longest serving employees, she is a vital member of our team. Every company needs a ‘Donna’, because there’s nothing she doesn’t know about Prime Appointments! Donna assists the Senior Management Team with reporting and is responsible for day to day compliance validation, she uses her extensive knowledge to oversee and assist all aspects of the company’s operations and implementation of small projects.
Donna loves spending time with her family outside of work, she really enjoys working at Prime Appointments because she views the fun loving team as her extended family who work hard but always find time to have a laugh. Donna is the nicest person you will ever meet and we are very lucky to have her!
Prior to joining Prime Appointments in 2017 Michelle worked in a primary school as a Learning Support Assistant for over 10 years! She was looking for a new challenge when the position here opened up – her great communication and organisational skills – not to mention her warm and friendly smile make her a great asset to the business, not sure how we managed in the past without her!
In her spare time Michelle enjoys cooking and a day out shopping, in a household with grown up daughters there is lots of scope to practice both! She is an avid theatre goer and enjoys nothing more than a night out with hubby or her friends in theatre land!
Laura joined Prime Appointments in 2018 with over 2 years’ experience working in industrial recruitment in the local area. Laura thrives on the fast-paced nature of the business and a building a reliable and successful workforce within the local community. She is professional and really friendly in her approach and quickly gains peoples trust.
In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, shopping and spending quality time with friends and family. Laura loves the fact that as a business we do things honestly and openly – compliance is important to us and we build friendly and respectful relationships with our temps assisting them into long term roles.
Ross is a results-driven sales professional with a can-do attitude. He began his recruitment career with Prime in July 2018 and is relishing the challenges that our fast-paced industrial desk bring. He prides himself on his ability to deliver above and beyond his clients’ expectations by staying focused on his KPIs. His background lies mainly in sales within the offshore industry, which has tested his resilience, persistence and discretion. His diverse experience and skill set are a welcome addition to our industrial division, which is always seeking new ways to approach our clients’ requirements.
Outside of work, Ross enjoys spending time with his family and especially his four daughters, who keep him busy and occupied! An optimistic and outgoing individual, he is always one step ahead!
With her outgoing personality and a passion for people, Laura brings a positive energy and an analytical outlook to our Industrial division. Working closely with Colin, Laura and Ross, she oversees our resourcing process and has helped drive the number of candidates coming through our doors through the roof!
Laura joined Prime in March 2018 after helping managing the payroll for a small construction company and has relished the challenge of her transition to recruitment. In her spare time, she loves to exercise her creative side by teaching dance to members of the local community. She brings a lively energy to the office with her quirky sense of humour and sunny personality. Her hidden talent is that she does a scarily on-point dinosaur impression. If she could have any superpower, it would be to fly, so that she could look down at the world and appreciate what we have!
With her passion for all things Prime, excellent communication skills and creative flair, second-generation member of the founding Holmes family, Katie is in her element working with our Accountancy & Finance clients. A people-person down to the ground, she thoroughly enjoys helping her candidates and clients find the matches for them. Applying her impeccably high standards to her search, consultancy and service alike, she is always looking for ways to go the extra mile. Passionate about all things Prime, she is the ideal person to take the reins of our Accountancy & Finance division as we approach our third decade in business. Outside of work, she has a healthy and active lifestyle, which she believes is key to maintaining peak performance and a confident, positive attitude.
With over 10 years’ experience as a care worker and over a years’ experience working as an in-house care recruiter, Hayley can really relate to both her candidates and clients. She is knowledgeable about the care industry and understands the challenges that the sector faces. She is passionate about providing quality care staff for her clients and getting her candidates into the roles they really want.
An outgoing, approachable person, Hayley is always on hand to offer advice and support. Her previous co-workers would describe her as a positive and energetic person who keeps everyone motivated. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 5 year old son who keeps her busy! She loves Christmas and Hallowe’en and any excuse to spend time with friends and family.
With her extensive experience on the frontline of NHS temporary staffing, Kate is a much-valued member of our care team. She is an honest, approachable and conscientious member of the department with a unique insight into our client’s needs. She has worked closely with social workers for over 2 years, which has given her a unique perspective into how best to match our candidates with the clients who need them most.
Outside of work, she enjoys music, crafting and has participated in the majorettes. With her sunny disposition, top-notch organisation skills and expertise, she provides an excellent quality of service that our clients and candidates can rely on.
Robyn joined Prime Appointments with extensive experience in recruitment, a First-Class business degree and a drive to take our service to the next level! She has overseen numerous’ companies’ recruitment and retention of technical talent in London and is excited to utilize her expertise closer to home. A complete perfectionist, she takes pride in her exceptional attention to detail. Her business degree has honed her acumen, helping her understand our client’s requirements. Coupled with her keen interest in the all things digital, her consultancy service is dedicated and bespoke.
Outside of work, she loves animals and playing the piano! With her fresh approach and her sharp mind, she fits in perfectly with our ever-expanding Technical & Engineering division.

Supporting a number of charities including Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s and Mind, she is excited to finally have the chance to channel her skills to a sector that represents everything she stands for! It takes a certain kind of recruiter to succeed in the complex world of IT and we’re proud to have found a Prime example of this in Ben Bailey. With an interest in holistic operational structure and experience recruiting in the competitive Cayman Islands, he is an ideal asset to our team. He enjoys the challenge of matching niche IT roles with unique candidates and is always on the lookout for new businesses to connect with. Having worked in recruitment since 2016, he has had the opportunity to hire across multiple sectors including Legal and Finance before deciding to focus solely on IT. An outgoing and approachable person, he enjoys getting to meet new people and develop rapport with individuals throughout the hiring process. Most importantly, he loves finding people their dream job and helping businesses thrive. If he could have any superpower, it would be to breathe underwater, as he loves the sea. Whist he remains land-bound, however, we are very grateful to have him on our team!
