Our Mission

"As we steadily climb towards our 27th year in business we recognise the importance of supporting our employees, our local community and beyond. As an SME we can not take the same steps as larger corporate giants, but we aim to make the best contribution we can to promoting change and supporting others."

Robyn Holmes: Managing Director

In 2018, we raised...

Last year, we raised nearly £7,000 (£6,887.84) for charity. We campaigned for Macmillan Cancer Support, Children in Need, and Alzheimer’s Society, raising the roof on all of our targets! We’ve hosted multiple raffles, dress down (and up!) days and bake-offs to get everyone involved in our commitment to giving back. It’s been a truly community-wide experience with candidates, clients and local businesses of all shapes and sizes pitching in. But this is only the beginning! 2019, here we come…

Our Current Initiatives

An ‘elf-less bunch

Our first event as official partners with Alzheimer’s Society was National Elf Day! On Friday 7thDecember, the whole team came in to work in full Elf costume, including the directors. Our main attraction was a massive Elf Raffle, with prizes from local businesses big and small up for grabs. We were completely blown over by the generosity shown. Alzheimer's Society

As we continue to develop, we look back to our roots and the early days when our co-founder Margaret Locke and Robyn first launched Prime Appointments.

In 1992 Margaret and Robyn co-founded Prime, since which time we've grown to become a thriving recruitment agency and prominent business within Essex & Suffolk. Without Margaret's vivacious personality, contagious enthusiasm, drive and intelligence, Prime would not be here today.

Unfortunately, 10 years ago Margaret was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, a horrible condition that has taken a severe toll that has been extremely painful for herself, and for her family and friends to witness.

Initially, we planned to raise £5,000 by the next World Alzheimer’s Awareness Day on 21stSeptember 2019. However, with the help of local businesses, candidates and clients, we were able to raise nearly £6,000 in just a week! So to up the stakes, we’ve pledged to raise £10,000 in total by next year.
