Are you a sheet metal worker looking for a new role? Do you have experience working on a CNC Press Brake? Are you looking for a role further offering further training in fabrication? If so then this may be the ideal position for you!!!
We are looking for a sheet metal fabricator to work for an engineering company based in Haverhill, Suffolk. You will need to have some previous engineering experience either through work or from education. Applicants must have experience working on a press brake, but all other training will be provided.
As a sheet metal fabricator your main responsibilities will be to produce various structural products from mild & stainless steel. Some of the products you will be working on include balustrades, balconies, staircases, railings, temporary floorings etc. It is essential that all applicants have previous experience operating various manual & CNC sheet metal fabrication machinery.
Fabricator duties include:
- Reading & working from engineering (CAD) drawings independently
- Operating manual & CNC machinery
- Able to use guillotines, press brakes, punch press etc.
- Use of various hand & power tools
- Always comply to the company's health & safety policies
As previously stated, it is imperative that any applicants have experience on a press brake. Other fabrication experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided in other areas.
Must be physically fit in order to meet the physical demands of the role.
Negotiable on salary subject to experience + Overtime available during peak periods.
Hours of work are Monday Thursday, 08:00 - 16:30, with an earlier finish on a Friday.
This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
