CAD Technician/Admin required in Braintree
An established manufacturing company based in Braintree who are going through a period of growth and investment with their current site are currently recruiting for a CAD Technician/Administrator to join their team.
This role is approx. 50% CAD work and 50% Administrative duties, so applicants will be flexible on duties required. With time and training, this role will develop into a management position, running a small team of CAD Technicians.
Duties for the role:-
Creating QA documents for the production department along with CAD drawings,
Use Autocad packages such as Solidworks,
Answering the phone and passing on calls,
General administration for the sales team.
Creating bespoke prototypes and printing on In-house 3D printer
Skills & experience needed for this role:-
Good knowledge of CAD software, ideally Solidworks,
Experience in Quality Assurance methods (ISO 9001),
An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods,
Creative flair with attention to detail,
From time to time you may be required to lift heavy items (up to 25kgs) within a workshop environment for checking tolerances etc. against 3D CAD models/drawings.

Salary - £24,000 to £27,000 depending on experience.
2% contribution towards the company pension scheme.
40 hour week - Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm with 1/2 hour lunch break 12:30pm to 1pm,
