Our client designs and manufactures structures to protect and/or stabilise subsea installations worldwide. The role has become available due to the promotion of the existing CAD Technician. They are a growing, busy company who need to recruit a CAD Technician to create and adapt drawings using AutoCAD, providing accurate and suitable technical drawings of subsea concrete structures and lifting equipment for projects and enquiries around the world.
Duties:
- Assist the Project Managers and Sales department by providing drawings for projects and bids.
- Responsible for populating and managing the technical drawings library, ensuring it is up to date at all times.
- Provide good, technically correct and precise drawings of structures and equipment designs.
- Understand and translate client drawings for projects and enquiries.
- Convert engineering designs into technical drawings.
- Ensure assigned work is produced to company protocols and to deadlines set
Experience:
- Good organisational and self-management skills
- Must have industry experience using AutoCAD and producing 3D designs and models
- Good communication skills with a positive approach and good work ethic
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
- Civil or Structural engineering qualification would be preferable
- The ideal person will have reinforcement detailing experience and or Knowledge of steel fabrication procedures
