A world leader in aerospace component manufacturing are currently searching for an experienced CNC Turner to Set and Operate Lathes within their growing team.
Duties:
Setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to
within tight limits and within the agreed timescales and to agreed quality standards.
Responsible for setting a variety of CNC Machine Tools for operators including Mazak Machining Centres/Citizen Sliding Head).
Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture.
Mentoring new staff as and support team members with other tasks as required.
Ensure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit.
Ensure the manufacturing plan is adhered to.
Ensure that all manufacturing paper work is filled out correctly.
Experience:
Extensive CNC Turning experience required
Maths/English GCSE, (or equivalent) at grade C or above essential
Completion of CNC Training Courses preferred
Previous CNC experience in Aviation and/or Automotive industry preferred
Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment
Works using Metric and Imperial
Computer literate and methodical
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
