Working for a world leader within the aircraft manufacturing industry based in St Neots the Electronics Assembler will work from drawings to assemble electronic products. The ideal candidate will have previous PCB experience both through hole and surface mount along with mechanical assembly skills.
Duties:
- Work from drawings, instructions and other documentation.
- Assemble, solder and wire all PCB assemblies and units to IPC-JSTD-001 and relevant modules.
- Ensure quality by following routers and inspecting own work.
- Work to best practice and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conformal coat and apply adhesives to product as specified in manufacturing drawings.
- Assist the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the department and raise any issues
- Undergo training to remain IPC certified
Qualifications & Experience:
- Electronic assembly experience is essential
- Must be able to interpret complex technical drawings
- IPC-JSTD-001 modules 2-5 or equivalent aerospace qualification highly desirable
- Experience of surface mount soldering to 04/05 component size preferred
- Experience of working to class 3 on power boards or on aerospace products desirable
