Key Account Manager

  • £23,000 - £27,000 p/a + Uncapped Commission Structure
  • Chelmsford, Essex
  • Permanent

A client of ours on the outskirts of Chelmsford are recruiting an Key Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a full time permanent role working a 37.5 hour Monday - Friday week & paying a negotiable salary up to £27,000 basic + Uncapped commission & Company bonus scheme. (OTE: £40K in first year)

About the role:

  • We are looking for driven and motivated candidates to rise to the challenge and join our clients Inside Sales Team. Taking inbound calls, providing quotes and tenaciously closing a deal will be second nature for you and in return, they promise to value your worth and help you achieve your career goals. This team works with businesses across the globe delivering wireless communications equipment. All sales are inbound, with a flow of information and leads coming through to you your fate will be in your hands to drive yourself and the company forwards with our full support to help you achieve those goals.

Key responsibilities for this Key Account Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Manage vendor portfolio's
  • Ensure incoming sales enquiries are converted into sales orders
  • Actively manage existing accounts to ensure repeat business and develop cross and up selling opportunities within those companies
  • Liaise with internal departments to facilitate the above. This will include Marketing, Operations and Finance
  • Meet or exceed Service level agreements set by management
  • Adhere to the Companies requirements for maintaining CRM and other systems.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the company products and services
  • To provide line management with reports and/or information, as required.


Skills Required:

  • You will be well versed in full solution sales displaying consultative sales with clear sales structure
  • Inspiring to a dynamic and engaged workforce
  • Self-Analytical you are growing, developing and constantly challenging yourself
  • A valid UK driving licence and passport, as travel to events may occasionally be required.


Personal Qualities:

  • Can do attitude to work
  • Willingness to learn and throw yourself into any situation
  • Interested in keeping up to date with the technology industry and commerce/business in general.
