A manufacturing company who distribute equipment for construction and utilities industries, are looking for a production operative who can carry out product inspection and checks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure quality and you will need to have come from an engineering background due to the nature of the company. You will need to be able to approach jobs with a logical and practical mindset and be driven to work to schedules.
Standard working hours are 07:30-16:30 Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime to be available when required by the business. Starting salary for the successful candidate will be circa £26,000, based on previous experience.
Duties include:
- Undertake full pre delivery checks (PDI)
- Complete and maintain production/inspection records and test sheets
- Work within a lean methodology.
- Assist with loading for delivery to customers.
Technical skills include:
- Mechanical or assembly experience
- Good engineering understanding and ability to read engineering drawings
- Product inspection experience
- Basic IT skills (email, word, excel etc)
Candidates will need to be motivated, driven and reliable, as well as being self-motivated as work will often be carried out alone. In return the company offer state of the art working facilities as well as a great performance related bonus scheme.
