A manufacturing and production consultancy in the ventilation industry based in Colchester are looking to recruit a Production Supervisor. to join their expanding team This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Supervisor to progress their career
Duties:
- Report to and support senior management team
- Plan shift activities and ensure resource is delivered, maximised and utilised correctly to manage the Sales and Order Process
- Conduct team meetings and set deadlines
- Responsible for checking details are correct and submission is timely of holiday authorisations, overtime
- Investigate, report and take appropriate action on all incidents, accidents and near misses
- Ensure safe working practices are always adhered to on all responsible shifts in business unit
- Monitor team performance, managing any poor performance accordingly
- Listen to team members' feedback, resolve problems and handle complaints (from both employees and customers) using the appropriate procedure, referring to HR when further guidance is required
- Responsible for ensuring 5s protocols are adhered to
- Conduct 1 to 1s, annual and mid-year appraisals of direct reports
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor
- Ability to prioritise work
- Ability to motivate others to meet demand
- Remaining calm under pressure
- Decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate record keeping
