A world leader in aerospace component manufacturing are currently searching for a manufacturing operative to join their growing business within their upholstery team. If you have experience of working within a manufacturing environment and have a strong work ethic, then this could be your ideal move.
Work from drawings, templates, work instructions and/or samples to cut parts.
Shape foam using cutting tools.
Use various adhesives, bonding a variety of parts to create built up product and finished parts
Work with a selection of small hand tools, including scissors and knifes.
Cover build up parts with various materials, including cloth and leather.
Dress sewn covers to assembly cushions.
Assemble minor mechanical assemblies, major seat mechanical assemblies and riveted seat structures.
Strip down and repair customer returned products,
Qualifications & Experience:
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above is essential
An engineering related qualification is desirable
Must be able to read engineering drawings
Experience using small hand tools, including scissors and knifes
Required to under pressure and to deadlines
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Upholstery experience is highly desirable
