QA Inspector

A world leader in aerospace component manufacturing are currently searching for an experienced QA Inspector to undertake inspection, FAI and audit activities. The ideal candidate will have an IPC-A-610 qualification and extensive experience of inspecting electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Duties:
Routine inspection of mechanical, electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies to component level, ensuring conformance to drawing and IPC-A-610 standards.
Carry out and complete First Article Inspection reports and verification of incoming FAI's.
Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues of rejected, non-conforming parts.
Raise quality alerts as required.
Prepare all paperwork for the inspection/rejection of parts.
Attend meetings and assist with assessing the disposition of non-conforming product.
Support the Engineering Department with inspection of prototype boards and sub-assemblies.
Participates in product audits and corrective action activities.
Experience:
IPC-A-610 certification is essential
Extensive experience of electronic and mechanical assembly inspection
Must have excellent attention to detail.
Must have a high level of IT literacy.
IPC-J-STD 001 Modules 1 and 5 preferred.
Auditor training desirable.
