Do you have a great track record in Sales to the Marine industry or similar? Are you able to travel worldwide on a regular basis? Working for a leading company in their field the Regional Sales Director will take ownership of the whole sales process from prospect identification, through qualification, presentation, proposals, negotiation and finally closing the sale.
Identify and prioritise key market areas meeting targets established by Sales Forecasts for allocated territories
Establish and maintain Marketing representation in allocated territories and help identify marketing opportunities
Act as key account manager, negotiate and agree contracts on behalf of the company
Understand customer requirements and advise on system design
Help identify new markets and services
Plan and execute sales activities within the Region assigned
Ensure data is input into Company system to feed the sales forecast and utilise system to provide information on opportunities and produce reports.
Use the software tools supplied to prepare quotations for new and existing customers
Make presentations to both customers and internal departments
Liaise with Overseas marketing channels
Take full responsibility for profitability of accounts, including payment terms & debt management/recovery where required
Provide and maintain data to support the Marketing Databases
Provide input for Product Development and new Product design and keep abreast of new technologies and trends.
Attend conferences and exhibitions, meeting with customers and partners, including travel abroad when required
Provide support and input for marketing activities such as new brochures, mail shots, exhibitions etc.
Travel within the UK and overseas is required and is considered a regular feature of this role.
Skills & Experience:
Proven track record in sales, customer accounts and ongoing customer relationship management
Must have good commercial acumen and ideally have experience of P&L responsibility.
Marine industry or similar experience is preferred
Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Must hold a British Passport and UK Security clearance is preferred.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Hours of work are 8.30-4.30 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 to 4.00 Friday with Â½ hour lunch.
