Prime appointment are currently recruiting for a Service Sales Manager to work for a company in Maldon which produces products for the HVAC industry. The main purpose is to develop and nurture strategic markets and key accounts. Proactively manage the day-to-day management of the service sales, ensuring all target are achieved.
Selling approved products and services whilst maintaining margin management to hit or exceed yearly targets.
Ensure effective and commercially viable design solutions are always projected.
Effective salesmanship maintaining balance between reactive & proactive sales
Carry out engineering design solutions and giving effective project handovers
Compile quotations and cost sheets - responsible for checking all cost sheets
Planning/ prioritising and effective territory management
Maintaining good customer relationships through face to face contact and effective communication.
Handling customer complaints
Monitoring the business for any risk and reporting this to the Service manager.
Evaluate and negotiate terms and conditions of sale plus payment, delivery terms
Maintaining education and development of company products and services
Coordinating / recording sales activity through CRM management
Suggest and develop new ideas and markets then report ideas to manager
Raise company profile in target markets through delivery of effective seminars
Quantify customer benefits in commercial terms like ROI and payback time
Present professional image as competent in delivering climatic control HVAC solutions
Assist sale team members outside geographic region when needed.
Monitor and report on competitor activity
Carry out own administration using the CRM
Monitor sales team's activities and assist with day-to-day management of the team.
Jointly chair sales meetings with service manager
ensure sales target are achieved within the time frame expected and generated with minimum risk
HNC/HND or Engineering Degree
Knowledge of the HVAC industry and contracts including terms and conditions
Need to have previous sales experience
Articulate with strong communication skills, and the ability to delivery effective seminars
Analytical, Methodical, Creative
Computer skills (word, excel, lotus notes,), Application software, PP. CRM
Design and engineering skills preferable
Able to maintain calm and solve problems under pressure
Good time management and able to resolve issues quickly
Monday to Friday 08:30- 17:00 with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break.
