Our client, a growing sheet metal fabrication company who specialise in the manufacture of high-quality metal products for the facade industry, are looking to recruit a Sheet Metal Workshop Supervisor. The successful candidate will be involved in the process through fabrication, finishing and delivery to the customer.
Fabricating primarily Aluminium components (some Steel and Stainless Steel) that require welding as part of the fabrication process. (MIG, TIG)
Working from detailed fabrication drawings to identify materials needed and the processes required to fabricate items to a customer's specification.
Using metal working equipment such as brake presses, guillotines, punches, Laser Cutters and CNC Milling Machines during the fabrication process. (training can be provided)
Ensuring that items are finished according to the customer's specification and deadline.
Working with other members of the team on large products to ensure that items are fabricated correctly
Sufficient in leading others and setting tools and machines
General assistance on all areas of the workshop, checking others work and developing processes
All Sheet Metal duties including, marking, cutting, bending, forming, drilling.
Experience in welding and fabrication in aluminium, steel and stainless steel is essential.
Previous qualifications in coded welding would be desirable but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Ability to manufacture and build from engineering drawings using brake presses, punches, and guillotines.
