.NET Developer - Software Engineer - Stansted around £50,000 plus great benefits
If you are a .NET developer looking for company who put their programmers' talent first and work in an industry that creates lifesaving software (I know it's cheesy but will become clear when we speak) then read on.
I'm recruiting for a market leading industry platform, used across the UK. They are a lovely office with around 30 staff (and growing) and a real team focus. This company are far more interested in your ability as a programmer than anything else and the nature of this role is such that there is the opportunity for you to pick what technology and project you are most interested in and truly play to your strengths. They have acquired a number of businesses during their impressive growth and as such there are projects involving everything from C# and MVC to VB.NET and WPF. The choice of what you work on in this position is down to you and this company will play to your strengths.
This is a business where the Chief Operating Officer will still jump in and code with devs in a sprint and is hands on and connected to both the projects and the team. They encourage collaboration and discussion between their teams and hate a silent office. Colleagues are encouraged to work together, and they have a completely open attitude where anyone of any level can contribute to the design and direction of projects, if they are up to the challenge.
If you have the skills, then they can give you the chance for true project ownership. The nature of the industry that the work is linked to means that there is a special connection between the developers and the product. This is truly a role where you can see the impact you are having through your work.
They offer flexible working hours between 7am and 6pm where you are free to choose how you make up the 35 hours a week. Some home-working is an option, after probation. They also have parties and outings twice a year and offer a starting number of 25 days holiday.
