A well-established, growing precision engineering company supplying into leading OEM's within the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, Communication and Power industries are looking to recruit a Stores Person. If you have previous stores experience with experience of Kits and BoM's then we will be keen to hear from you.
Check and book all materials and finished parts into stores, checking traceability.
Preparation of kits against works orders lists and forward to the relevant departments.
Some assembly on various parts and fettling where necessary.
Labelling of materials and parts in stores.
Maintain high levels of standards of housekeeping and cleanliness of the stores area.
Ensure that a high level of security is met.
Carry out inventory stock checks and reconcile stock levels.
Stock pick items as required.
Preparation of goods for despatch, arranging deliveries by internal means or couriers.
Preparation of paperwork for despatch.
Update and maintain company computer systems in line with operating procedures.
Responsible for the loading/unloading of vehicles.
Processing and raising of purchase orders to suppliers and sub-contractors and maintaining overall cost control through liaison with suppliers.
Completion and filing of documentation relating to the stores department.
Supporting other departments within the company.
Skills & Experience
Experience of working in a store's environment.
Experience of kits and bills of materials.
Possible forklift licence (training could be arranged).
Ability to work under own initiative.
Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
Salary circa £23,000
Standard 39 hrs per week, with possible overtime (paid at time and half)
21 days holiday (increasing by 2 days every 5 years' service).
Paid bank holidays.
