Our client who are an expanding family business that has been established for 30 years are looking to recruit a Welder/Fabricator to complete the whole process from reading drawings to cutting materials, forming on press-brakes, welding and finishing. If you are looking for a busy, varied role which will utilise all of your fabrication skills then look no further. For the right person this role could offer a future move into management.
Duties:
- Working with a variety of materials including mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
- Working from drawings to produced storage solutions and trollies
- Cutting materials using laser cutter
- Developing and forming on press-brakes
- MIG, TIG and Spot welding and finishing
- Assist with other duties such as driving the company van and unloading lorries
Experience:
- Must be able to work from technical drawings
- Must have exceptional fabrication skills and be able to complete the whole process from start to finish
- MIG experience is essential, TIG experience would also be useful
- Press-brake setting, and operation experience preferred
- Experience of working in a variety of materials ideal
- Able to use own initiative and work well under pressure
- Must be flexible and willing to assist with other duties
- A counterbalance fork truck licence would be an advantage
