The best sales professionals are highly competitive. One look at our team at our team building go-karting event will tell you that! We’ve still got the bruises! Only joking. (Not joking). Their innate go-getting nature has brought us some amazing results over the years. But we like to challenge ourselves here at Prime. Moreover, we’re always looking for new ways to keep our talented team engaged. Last year, we utilized a range of mini-competitions, incentives and drives to find new ways of working together. But without a doubt, our biggest internal competition of the year was our Six Month Sales Competition. Complete with monthly prizes, mystery awards and the opportunity to win an all-expenses paid holiday to the U.S, it was an incredible experience.
6 months, 7 new team members, several new clients and countless new business meetings, placements, calls and drops later, we are completely taken aback by our team’s superhuman efforts!

The Big Wins: The Top 3 Winners
Commercial & Office Queen, Kirsty Wilson
The highest achiever throughout the whole competition won a luxury holiday to either Las Vegas, New York, or an all-expenses paid European minibreak. After months of dedicated consultancy connecting with businesses throughout the region, we were absolutely over the moon to award First Prize to none other than Commercial & Office Consultant … Kirsty Wilson! With her laser-like focus, her in-depth sector knowledge and her genuine passion for talent acquisition, Kirsty has well and truly earned her status as Sales Competition Queen. A sales professional down to the bone, she has opted for Vegas, where she intends to unleash her skills on the City of Lights! Watch out, Nevada!
Technical & Engineering Titan, Carl Bashford
In second place, it was a very close call, with our brilliant Temporary Technical & Engineering Consultant Carl Bashford coming in at a photo finish after months of close competition with Kirsty. A consistently high performer and the youngest consultant to be made a Senior, Carl has demonstrated his excellent business development skills time and again. In reward, he has been given the choice from 9 action-packed UK-based activities worth £500 each, ranging from a Hot Air Balloon Experience to Chessington World of Adventures. In the end, the culture vulture opted for a 4 star London Theatre Trip to see "The Book Of Mormon". Break a leg!
Commercial & Office King, Luke Langton
Finally, our third winner was one of our longest-serving temporary Consultants who has proven his dedication to Prime time and again, earning consistently positive feedback from candidates and clients alike. Never afraid to take a risk and challenge himself, he has switched between widely differing sectors in his time here without missing a beat. Winning a fun-packed day out for himself and his family is our incredible Temporary Commercial & Office Consultant Luke Langton. They will e gong on a 5 star luxury break to the Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield.
Month-by-Month: The Dream Teams and Star Performers
There’s no “I” in team! Month by month, we rewarded each team who collectively earned the most points as a group with a luxury lunch out with our Managing Director, Robyn Holmes. Here’s a little run-down of who won what when:
As a family-owned company, we believe that collaboration is key. That’s why each of our divisions functions as a micro-team, with their own specialist in-depth sectoral expertise. By including the monthly Dream Team incentives, we emphasized a balance between healthy in-house competition and cooperation.
Although we had already laid out the exciting prospect of a free holiday for the overall winner, we wanted to invest in giving our team something extra. That’s why on a month-by-month basis, we appointed a Star Performer. That way, in addition to working towards their usually commission, our Consultants could earn mini-prizes along the way, such as vouchers, luxury days out and expenses-paid meals. Here were some of the amazing prizes:
As you can see, there were two repeat offenders whose focus on the final prize can be easily determined! In addition to Kirsty and Carl’s regular reappearance, we were over the moon to see Mark – one of our newest Consultants. Just 8 months since he first picked up the phone to call a candidate in an industry completely new to him, he is now officially one of our top billers. Well done, Mark!
